Protest: CJP Ends 49-Day Jantar Mantar Protest After Dharmendra Pradhan's Resignation

The CJP officially ended its 49-day protest at Delhi's Jantar Mantar after the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. The organization announced the withdrawal of the agitation, stating that the government had accepted its three key demands. Protesters were instructed to vacate the site immediately, following which the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) launched a large-scale clean-up operation. Workers removed barricades, posters, banners, and protest slogans from walls and bus shelters, while roads were washed using high-pressure water jets to restore the area to its original condition. According to CJP leaders, the government's acceptance of their demands marked a significant victory for students and youth. Besides Pradhan's resignation, the government assured appropriate compensation for affected families in accordance with existing rules and agreed to withdraw FIRs filed against protesters. CJP spokespersons described the development as a triumph of democracy and accountability, saying the government could no longer ignore the concerns of young people. They added that the outcome represented the end of a prolonged atmosphere of fear and renewed faith in democratic protest.
