Political Statement: Uddhav Thackeray Says Attempts Underway to Erase ‘Thackeray’ Name

Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray has made a strong political statement, alleging that deliberate efforts are being made to erase the “Thackeray” name from Maharashtra’s political landscape. Addressing supporters, Thackeray said that several people were brought onto the streets with the sole intention of targeting the Thackeray identity. He asserted firmly that the Thackeray name cannot be wiped out and will continue to remain deeply rooted in Maharashtra. Uddhav Thackeray further claimed that two individuals from Gujarat were being used to attack their own people, stating that accepting such dominance would amount to modern-day slavery. He emphasized that Maharashtra has the strength and capability to protect its self-respect and identity. Thackeray declared that living as a “slave” to powerful outsiders is unacceptable, adding that he would rather face defeat than compromise on dignity and independence. His remarks have intensified the political debate in the state.
