PM Modi’s Inspiring Address to Youth Recruits: “Citizen First, Nation First” – A Call for Development Through Youth Power

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, addressing a large gathering of newly recruited government officials and young professionals under the “Rozgar Mela” initiative, emphasized the transformative power of India’s youth in shaping a developed India during the Amrit Kaal. With a strong message of “Citizen First,” PM Modi highlighted that although the departments may differ, the unified goal is national service. He celebrated India’s growing strength in both demography and democracy, stressing that the world's largest youth population and democracy can drive unmatched progress. PM Modi outlined India's rapid advancements in sectors like manufacturing, digital technology, defense, energy, and startups, supported by policies such as the Production-Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme and Employment Linked Incentive schemes. He spoke of India’s journey from just 2–3 mobile phone manufacturing units to over 300 today, creating millions of jobs. He also highlighted women-led development through Lakhpati Didi initiatives, PM Awas Yojana, and Ujjwala Scheme, all of which are generating employment at the grassroots level. Urging the new recruits to see themselves as agents of transformation, PM Modi encouraged them to continue upgrading their skills and to serve with dedication, saying, “You are my close partners in building a Viksit Bharat.”
