Nirbhaya case: Remembering the fateful day of December 16, 2012

Here is a timeline of the events of the Nirbhaya rape and murder case. On 16 December, 2012, Nirbhaya was brutally raped in a moving bus and then left to die on the streets of Delhi. 

In the early morning next day, Nirbhaya was taken to Safdurjung hospital. From December 18 to December 22, entire nation had protested against the horrific event. In September 2013, the four accused were convicted and death sentence was conferred on them.
