Nirbhaya case: Convict Pawan Gupta's petition dismissed
The Supreme Court of India has dismissed a petition filed Pawan Gupta, who is a convict in Nirbhaya case. Gupta had filed a petition which claimed that he was a minor at the time of incident and hence shouldn't be sentenced to death penalty. The court rejected his claim stating that it had already been rejected in High Court and lower court and the convict hasn't been able to provide any new document to overturn those decisions.
