Actually, apart from the news of NEET UG paper leak, UGC NET paper was also leaked in the past. After which the agency had canceled this examination. The Education Minister had told that the paper was leaked on the dark web. Apart from this, National Testing Agency postponed the examinations like CSIR UGC NET and NEET PG. Apart from this, incidents like paper leak have become common in some states across the country in recent times. After which now it seemed necessary to implement this law. The new law of the Central Government will be applicable against those who leak examination papers and tamper with the answer sheets. Under this law, the culprits may have to face at least 3-5 years in jail and a fine of up to Rs 10 lakh. People involved in organized crime can be sentenced to 5 to 10 years in prison. Along with this, a fine of at least Rs 1 crore can also be imposed. This law will help in stopping organized crime and punishing criminals. In this law, exemption has been given to children appearing in competitive examinations.
