A major twist has emerged in the Muzaffarnagar dhaba controversy, where a worker named “Gopal” had earlier alleged that his pants were forcibly removed to check his religious identity. It has now been revealed that the man is actually named Tajamul, not Gopal, as shown on his Aadhaar card. This revelation has raised serious questions about the authenticity of the initial claims. The controversy began at a Vaishnav dhaba on NH-58, a key route for the Kanwar Yatra. Tajamul, who introduced himself as Gopal during media interviews, now claims that he was asked to assume the name Gopal by the dhaba’s management when he started working there three months ago. In a video interview, Tajamul explained that when the incident occurred, he did not have a valid ID on him as he was unwell. He alleges that he was harassed and taken inside by five individuals. His statements have further complicated the case, suggesting that there may have been manipulation behind the scenes.
