Maharashtra: Uddhav, Sanjay Raut Protest Against Badlapur Sexual Assault Case | ABP News
Amid heavy rainfall, Shiv Sena (UBT) leader and former Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray protested against the sexual assault of two four-year-old girls at a Badlapur school and called for justice. The incident, which occurred on August 12-13, 2024, involved a 23-year-old male cleaning staff member, Akshay Shinde, who allegedly assaulted the girls in a girls' toilet at a prominent co-ed school in Badlapur. Shinde was arrested on August 17. On Friday, Thackeray criticised a Bombay High Court order that prohibited political parties from calling a bandh but noted that the opposition bloc, MVA, had cancelled its planned shutdown in Maharashtra scheduled for Saturday in response to the assault case.
