Mahakumbh 2025: Grand Devotee Gathering at Mahakumbh on Mahashivratri
Today marks the auspicious occasion of Mahashivratri and the final day of the Mahakumbh in Prayagraj, bringing the largest congregation of devotees to its grand conclusion. From the holy banks of the Triveni Sangam to the revered Jyotirlingas across India, an immense crowd of worshippers has gathered to seek divine blessings. The significance of bathing in the sacred waters of the Sangam on Mahashivratri has drawn an overwhelming number of devotees, making this last holy dip a momentous event.While the final ritual bath of the Mahakumbh is underway in Prayagraj, temples nationwide—including Mahakaleshwar in Ujjain, Kashi Vishwanath in Varanasi, and Baba Baidyanath Dham in Deoghar—are witnessing massive gatherings of devotees. The air resonates with chants of "Bam Bam Bhole" and "Har Har Mahadev," as devotees offer prayers and participate in the festivities with great enthusiasm. So far, over 5.5 million devotees have taken the holy dip today, and the arrangements are being closely monitored by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath from the control room in Gorakhpur to ensure a smooth and safe event.
