Mahadangal: Exposing Aniruddhacharya, Controversial Statements Spark Outrage Over Misogyny and Misinformation

In a heated debate aired on ABP News, spiritual preacher Aniruddhacharya has come under fire for his controversial and unscientific remarks, many of which are being called out as misogynistic and misleading. The news segment highlights how the preacher has repeatedly made derogatory comments about women, spread historical inaccuracies, and promoted regressive ideologies. One of his most criticized statements claims that India gained independence because the sage Augustya drank the ocean, allegedly scaring the British away. In reality, India’s independence was achieved through the relentless sacrifices of millions, and not mythical tales. The British Parliament had announced a transfer of power by June 30, 1948, but Lord Mountbatten advanced the date to August 15, 1947, to avoid further bloodshed. Aniruddhacharya also claimed that 25-year-old women have "been with multiple partners," justifying child marriage at 14—a direct contradiction of Indian law, which sets the legal marriage age at 18 for women. Furthermore, he falsely stated that biscuits are “poison kits” and blamed pre-marital relations of parents for modern health issues in children. Such statements have triggered backlash from viewers and women’s rights activists, with many demanding a public apology. Critics argue that these views mislead youth, insult women, and propagate ignorance. A musical response by spiritual leader Paras Bhai in support of girls has also gained attention. ABP News urges viewers to question such regressive narratives and stand up for truth and equality.
