Lucknow: Man dies in violent protest against CAA

One person has died, allegedly due to a firearm injury that he sustained during the unprecedented violence in Lucknow on Thursday afternoon as protests over the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) gained ground and the situation slowly spun out of control. The deceased, according to sources, has been identified as Mohd Wakeel, a resident of Sajjad Bagh in Hussainabad area of the old city. It is not yet clear if he was killed in police firing.
