Kolkata Case: Sukanta Majumdar Writes to Governor Over Lathi Charge on Students | RG Kar College

Sukanta Majumdar has written a letter to the Governor addressing the police's excesses. In the letter, he demands strict action from the Governor and calls for the release of students detained by the police. The BJP’s 12-hour bandh is also ongoing today. In protest against the lathi charge on students, the BJP has called for a 12-hour bandh in Bengal today, which will last until 6 PM. Yesterday, the Kolkata police used lathi charges, tear gas, and water cannons to disperse the crowd heading towards Nabanna. The protesters were demonstrating against the rape and murder of a female doctor at RG Kar Medical College and Hospital, and were demanding the resignation of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. The protests highlight growing frustration over the state's handling of the case and calls for justice for the victim. Stay tuned for the latest updates only on ABP News.
