Kanhaiya Kumar Breaks Silence: “Not a Political Migrant, I Am With the People of Bihar”

In an explosive exclusive interview with ABP News, Congress leader Kanhaiya Kumar responded sharply to allegations labeling him a "political migrant" and clarified his statements about Bihar’s resources and industrial attention. Referring to his viral Darbhanga speech, Kanhaiya explained that he was emphasizing Bihar's untapped potential—water resources, manpower, and agricultural wealth like bananas and lychees—which, he claims, are now drawing the interest of large industrialists. He argued that Bihar needs special support and collective effort, not just political alliances.Addressing accusations of being a political drifter—moving from Left to Congress, contesting from Delhi instead of Bihar—he rebutted, saying, “I’m a political worker. The party assigns responsibility, and I fulfill it. That’s not migration, that’s duty.” When asked if Lalu Prasad Yadav blocked his candidature from Bihar, he didn’t confirm or deny but stated he only follows the Congress party's decision.Responding to criticisms about losing elections, Kanhaiya pointed out that even leaders like Atal Bihari Vajpayee and others have lost—"loss doesn’t define one’s capability." He reiterated his loyalty to Congress and Rahul Gandhi, saying, “If I’m right, my decision to be with Congress is right too.”As Bihar heads into a crucial electoral phase, Kanhaiya’s positioning seems to mark Congress’s bet on a fresh, youth-centric face.
