Janhit: Congress Faces Internal Rush for Tickets as Seat-Sharing Tensions Rise in Bihar | ABP NEWS
As the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections approach, the Congress party in Patna is seeing a flood of ticket aspirants. Over 100 leaders have reached the state headquarters, all hoping to secure a ticket, with party workers presenting thick files showcasing their loyalty and political work. Some of the prominent names in contention include Vinod Kumar Singh and Jyoti Jha from Phulparas, Chandni from Badhnaha, Chandrika Yadav from Tekari, Nazia Hasan from Darbhanga, Kamran Hussain from Jehanabad, Ravi Roshan from Kalyanpur, and Dr. Arin and her husband from Jale seat. Interestingly, Dr. Arin and her husband both applied from the same seat, saying they would be happy if either of them is selected. Most of these seats are currently held by JD(U) or other allies, but Congress is hoping to regain ground. In 2020, Congress contested 70 seats and won just 19. However, this time, Tejashwi Yadav is reportedly aiming to reduce Congress’s share to around 50 seats in the Mahagathbandhan, raising internal concerns. As the alliance negotiations evolve, the final seat allocation will not only determine Congress’s prospects but also test its unity under pressure.
