J&K: Terrorists Ambushed Indian Army vehicle In Kathua | ABP News

In a tragic incident on Monday, an army convoy was ambushed by terrorists in the remote Machedi area of Jammu and Kashmir's Kathua district. The attack, which occurred at approximately 3:30 PM on the Machedi-Kindli-Malhar road near Badnota village in Lohai Malhar, resulted in the deaths of five army personnel and injuries to six others.

The terrorists targeted the routine patrol by hurling a grenade and opening fire on the army vehicles. Despite the security forces retaliating, the assailants managed to flee into the nearby forest. According to PTI, an intermittent exchange of gunfire between the terrorists and security forces was ongoing at the time of the latest reports. Reinforcements have been dispatched to the area to assist in the situation.
