Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi released a video message on Wednesday (July 3) targeting the central government regarding the Agniveer scheme. During this, while mentioning martyr Ajay Kumar, he had accused the Defense Minister of lying in the Parliament. In this video, martyr Ajay Kumar's father is also seen, who is saying that he did not get even a single rupee out of the assistance amount of Rs 1 crore. Now the Indian Army's clarification regarding this has come out. The Indian Army posted on Twitter, "Some posts on social media have revealed that compensation has not been paid to the family members of Agniveer Ajay Kumar, who lost his life in the line of duty. Indian Army salutes the supreme sacrifice of Agniveer Ajay Kumar." His last rites were performed with full military honours. Rs 98.39 lakh has already been paid to Agniveer Ajay's family." The Indian Army said, "According to the provisions of Agniveer Yojana, approximately Rs 67 lakh assistance and other benefits are still pending, which will be transferred to the bank account immediately after police verification. In this way, a total of Rs 1 crore 65 lakh will be given to them." You will get lakhs of rupees." This clarification of the Army has come within two hours of Rahul Gandhi's video message.
