Here's why Nirbhaya's convicts won't be executed on Jan 22

Speaking to ABP News, Nirbhaya's family's lawyer Seema Kushwaha explained why the four convicts in Nirbhaya gangrape and murder case won't be given death penalty on 22 January, despite a death warrent being issued by Delhi court.  She said that the delay was from the side of the Centre as it didn't serve notice to the four accused on time. Had the notice been issued in 2017, the sentence would have been commuted by now, Kushwaha said.
