Cyclone Asani: IMD issues alert; weather sees change | LIVE from Puri
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) stated on Monday that severe cyclonic storm Asani, with gusts of up to 120 kmph, is expected to approach the west central and surrounding northwest Bay of Bengal before decreasing in the following 24 hours. The cyclone is not forecast to reach landfall, but it will bring rain and strong winds to the east coast, as well as higher temperatures to the northwest and central India.
