Breaking: Protests Against Waqf Bill Intensify in West Bengal, Demonstrations in Uttar Dinajpur Led by TMC MLA

Protests against the Waqf Bill continue to escalate in West Bengal, with fresh demonstrations reported from Uttar Dinajpur. In Chopra, members of Muslim organizations took to the streets under the leadership of TMC MLA Hamidur Rahman. In light of the unrest in Murshidabad, police forces remain on high alert across the state, including in Dinajpur. Political statements against the Waqf Act have also intensified. AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi has strongly criticized the bill, calling it a "black law" and "unconstitutional." He accused the government of attempting to take control of Waqf properties and undermining Muslim interests. Owaisi has announced a protest against the bill in Hyderabad on April 19, claiming that the legislation does not serve the welfare of the Muslim community. He further alleged that the BJP is spreading misinformation and that the bill aims to target Muslims under the guise of removing encroachments. According to him, this law reflects the BJP's mistrust towards Muslims. With tensions mounting, all eyes are now on upcoming demonstrations, especially the one planned in Hyderabad.
