Breaking News: Rescue Teams Work Relentlessly in Chamoli to Save Trapped Workers After Glacier Collapse
In a tragic incident in Uttarakhand's Chamoli district, a glacier broke off, causing a massive chunk of ice to fall onto a road construction site. The debris trapped 55 workers under the snow, with 33 workers rescued so far, and efforts are ongoing to save the remaining 22. The rescue operation is proving to be extremely challenging due to the continuous snowfall, but army personnel have been working tirelessly to extricate the workers. Prior to removing the snow, the army cleared the paths to help evacuate the injured. Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has held an urgent meeting to ensure the swift continuation of the rescue mission, while Home Minister Amit Shah assured that rescuing the trapped workers safely remains the top priority.
