Abbas Ansari, the MLA from Mau Sadar and son of Mukhtar Ansari, has been found guilty in a hate speech case related to the 2022 Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections. The MP MLA court delivered the verdict after hearing the case concerning the speech made by Abbas during the election campaign. According to reports, Abbas Ansari had threatened officials in a harsh tone, stating that “everyone’s accounts will be settled” and that a diary was being maintained. This intimidating speech was taken seriously by the court, which has held him responsible for attempting to threaten officials. Abbas’s brother, Mansour Ansari, has also been found guilty in the same case. The court is expected to announce the sentence shortly. Abbas Ansari had won the Mau Sadar seat in the 2022 elections, and this verdict marks a significant development in the ongoing legal proceedings related to hate speech charges against him.
