Severe weather continues to wreak havoc across northern India, with heavy rains, floods, and landslides disrupting normal life in multiple states. In Haryana’s Panchkula, torrential downpours caused the Morni river to swell dangerously, sweeping away a bridge in Khatauli village. Visuals show the river’s fierce current resembling sea waves, leaving residents terrified and isolated.In Jammu and Kashmir’s Baramulla, sudden storms accompanied by heavy rainfall and strong winds created panic. The downpour triggered a massive landslide, swallowing half a road and dumping debris across the area. A cowshed was also destroyed in the landslide, and traffic movement came to a halt, forcing locals indoors out of fear.Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh’s Mathura is grappling with the rising Yamuna River, which has crossed the danger mark and surged nearly 5 cm in the last 24 hours. Low-lying colonies and villages are already witnessing water entering homes, sparking renewed flood concerns. To add to the distress, a lightning strike damaged the upper section of a temple in Majhoi village, with dramatic visuals now circulating on social media.Authorities are on high alert, deploying disaster response teams and urging residents to remain cautious as extreme weather conditions continue.
