Election Result 2024: NDA Bags 30 Seats, I.N.D.I.A Bloc Wins 9 In Bihar, All Eyes On Nitish Kumar | ABP News
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led NDA won 30 Lok Sabha seats in Bihar while the I.N.D.I.A bloc secured nine seats. NDA partners BJP and JD-U bagged 12 seats each, Chirag Paswan-led LJP-Ram Vilas (LJPRV) won five, and Jitan Ram Manjhi's Hindustani Awam Morcha (Secular) got one seat. While the BJP lost its majority in the polls, which were announced on Tuesday, the alliance led by it easily passed the magic number of 272 seats.
Meanwhile, The allies of the opposition bloc RJD won four seats, Congress (3), and CPI-ML (2). Congress' Rajesh Ranjan alias Pappu Yadav secured the Purnea seat as an Independent candidate.
Chirag Paswan and his brother-in-law Arun Bharti defeated RJD candidates Shiv Chandra Ram and Archana Ravidas from Hajipur and Jamui respectively.
After the Lok Sabha mandate, all eyes are set on Bihar CM Nitish Kumar after JDU bagged 12 seats. After reports emerged, earlier in the day, that the opposition bloc I.N.D.I.A has approached Kumar to make a comeback again to the alliance he initiated, sources confirmed later that the JD(U) chief is set to attend the NDA meeting scheduled to take place on Wednesday
