67 students bag the top spot in the NEET-UG entrance exam this year | ABP News
Gunmay Garg, a resident of Punjab's Patiala, is one of the 67 candidates who have bagged the top rank in the medical entrance exam NEET-UG, the results of which were announced by the National Testing Agency on Tuesday.
Gunmay attributes his success to hard work and the support he received from his parents, teachers and friends. Gunmay's parents, who are doctors by profession, are elated about his achievement and said that their son has worked hard from the beginning and that his first rank is a result of it.
In Jammu and Kashmir's Bandipora, Waris Un Naveed has clinched the top position in the union territory with an exceptional score of 707 out of 720 points in the NEET 2024 entrance exam. Waris attributed his success to hard work, commitment and consistency. He also thanked his family for supporting him on his journey. A record 24.06 lakh candidates had registered for NEET this year. The passing percentage is almost the same as last year, at 56.2 per cent.
As per the National Testing Agency, among those who have qualified the country's biggest entrance exam for admission to MBBS and BDS courses at the undergraduate level, 5,47,036 are male, 7,69,222 are female and 10 are transgender persons.
