'Govt’s Next Step Is To Retrieve PoK And Merge It With India’ | Seedha Sawal
After the historic move of scrapping Article 370 which granted special status to Jammu and Kashmir, government is now aiming to reclaim parts of Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir (PoK) and make them the part of Indian territory again, Union Minister Jitendra Singh said on Tuesday. He added that merger of the PoK with India mainland has not just been an agenda of the BJP government but also of the Congress led- coalition government of late PM Narsimha Rao.
"Now, the next agenda is retrieving PoK and making it a part of India. It's not only me or my party's commitment, but it's a part of a resolution unanimously passed by Parliament in 1994 during Congress government headed by PV Narasimha Rao," he told reporters while highlighting the success of 100 days of the Modi government.
