Nana Patole Elected New Maharashtra Speaker Unopposed | Panchnama Full
Senior Congress MLA Nana Patole was on Sunday elected unopposed as the Speaker of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly. Patole was elected after the BJP withdrew its candidate Kisan Kathore.The 57-year-old speaker then announced that former CM of the state Devendra Fadnavis will be the new Leader of Opposition in the Assembly. Thackeray and Fadnavis both lauded Patole's work as legislator and farmers' leader.
