Woman Pays Rs 193 For Maggi At Airport, Internet Reacts To Viral Post

The tweet shared by Sejal included a photo of the receipt that indicated that Maggi noodles was being sold for Rs 193 at an unnamed airport.

Those who travel frequently by flight know that food items at airports are overpriced. Whether it is a bottle of packaged drinking water or a packet of chips, they are sold more than the market price. On Sunday, social media influencer Sejal Sud took to the microblogging site Twitter to share a picture of the invoice of Masala Maggi Noodles she purchased at an airport. The price tag of the item has become a matter of discussion for the internet users.

The tweet shared by Sejal included a photo of the receipt that indicated that Maggi noodles was being sold for Rs 193 at an unnamed airport.

"I just bought Maggi for ₹193 at the airport. And I don’t know how to react, why would anyone sell something like Maggi at such an inflated price," wrote Sejal expressing her dissatisfaction about the inflated price.

Since being shared, the post has amassed 2.9 million views and 6,091 likes. As expected, the comments box was filled with reactions from netizens. While some criticised the pricing, others found some humour in it.

"Nothing new I purchased maggi cup noddles at Rs. 250 and small mango juice at Rs.200 when coming from goa to home," commented one user on the post.

"Still it is the cheapest option you can get at the airport to eat! Ironic but true," wrote another user.

While a third wrote, "While it's quite tempting to say "high",  remember that the vendor need to pay rent which can be high apart from other charges. So need to be careful before labeling it as exorbitant."

"It's human tendency to seek maximum comfort at minimum price but businesses don't run that way. Without a handsome ROI why will they operate?," wrote a fourth.
