Viral Video Shows Pakistani Journalists In Abusive Confrontation At London Cafe

A heated argument between Pakistani journalists in a London café during a protest coverage goes viral. The video shows them hurling abuses as others try to intervene and calm the situation.

A London cafe witnessed a heated argument between two Pakistani journalists who were covering a Press Conferece in London. The viral video shows journalists Safia Khan and Asad Ali Malik hurling abuses at each other whereas others were trying to dissolve the matter and cool them down as they were screaming loudly.

This argument took place during the press conference of Salman Akram Raja, the Secretary General of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaad. Salman is also a close aide of the former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan.

Sania Khan also shared the video from her X handle and put allegations against the other reporters. In her post she said that she was cornered by the ARY News Channel’s reporter Fareed and Hum News journalist Rafeeq during the press conference. And not only that, but when it was her turn to ask questions they started talking in between. Moreover, she said if something happened to her both of these journalists would be responsible for that.

She shared the video with an Urdu caption and wrote, “I heard someone’s mother being abused, not for myself. There was no such thing as honour among these shameless men. The one who abused the mother of Senator Journalist Azhar Javed from Youth was being slapped while sitting down. When I could not tolerate the abuse of Azhar Javed’s mother, how could I remain silent after hearing the abuse of my own mother?"

Meanwhile, Asad Malik, who works for a UK-based outlet, refuted all claims made by her and called the allegations “baseless".

He wrote, “These are false and baseless allegations, consistent with her pattern of past behavior. The facts are clear and supported by multiple eyewitnesses. During our meal at a restaurant, attended by journalists including myself, Rafique Mughal (Hum TV).”

Safina in her post also wrote and claimed that there are already complaints against Farid Qureshi with the police and today the number of gang members has also increased. She said the supporters of Imran Khan’s PTI have been harassing her and even tried to carry out an Acid attack on her.

She said, “There are already complaints against Farid Qureshi with the police. Today, the number of other gang members has also increased. I had filed complaints with ARY and Hum people. This has been going on for the past one year. People from Tehreek-e-Insaf are deliberately being set against me and several attempts have been made to cause casualties. An acid attack was even carried out, but I was neither afraid then nor will I be afraid now. If a man gets up and abuses me or my mother, I will abuse him twice as much as the women in his house. And the more you scream and abuse, the more you will get double the punishment

She also shared a video that was initially posted by an account named "Pakistani," alleging that ARY reporter Farid Qureshi had edited the footage and re-uploaded it using one of his fake accounts.
