Prisoner Starts Dancing After Being Released From UP Jail, Video Goes Viral

Netizens praised Shiva for his dancing skills and said it was because he got back his freedom.

After nine months, a man released from jail was seen freestyling right outside the gate. The moment was captured in a now-viral video, senior police officials and a lawyer surrounded him as they shared his happiness after being released after this the officials applauded his performance. 

The man from Kannauj, Uttar Pradesh has been identified as Shiva. The man was released from jail on Wednesday after serving additional time over failing to pay a fine, as per an NDTV report.

His video was shared by Senior Samajwadi Party (SP) worker KP Pathak, who referred to him as a “strange creature from Kannauj”.

The man is a resident of Chhibramau, he was sentenced to one year in prison and fined Rs 1000 in an assault case, according to a Times Now report. He had no family to support him, so no one came to post his bail. However, an NGO stepped in to provide him with free legal assistance. Shiva reportedly learned to read and write inside the jail. He has also said that he wouldn’t indulge in any criminal activities in the future. 

Netizens praised Shiva for his dancing skills and said it was because he got back his freedom.
