Man Abducted From Chaat Stall In Broad Daylight In UP, Police Arrests 4. But There's A Catch

Police said the reel caused panic among bystanders while filming. The individuals involved are being identified from the viral video, and legal action will be taken once their identities are confirmed.

Four young men from Uttar Pradesh were arrested for creating a sensational reel that staged a kidnapping attempt in broad daylight to gain social media attention. The video of this dramatic incident goes viral on social media.

The viral video posted on X shows two men on a bike stopping near a street food vendor in Khatauli, Muzaffarnagar, where a man is eating chaat. They cover his face with a cloth, pretending to sedate him, and load his unconscious body onto their bike to flee from the scene.

However, locals intervene, blocking their way and recording the incident. As tensions rise, the supposed kidnappers reveal it was all staged for a reel, calling over their friend to explain the prank. The trio can be seen laughing as they try to convince the crowd it was merely a joke.

Circle officer of Khatauli, Ramashish Yadav, stated that a video showing a staged kidnapping in a public area of Khatauli went viral on social media today. He added that the reel caused panic among bystanders during its filming. The individuals involved are being identified from the viral video, and legal action will follow once their identities are confirmed.

Social Media Users' React To Viral Video

Drawing criticism against four men, the online users requested the authorities to initiate an action. One of the users said, "Now they should be taken to jail properly and given accountability."

The next responded jokingly, "Now we will make reels in jail for a few days, editing and uploading will be done from there Notice over."

Another said, "All of them are spreading filth in the society in the name of reel. This will send a wrong message to the society! UP police should treat these real sons well!!"

Another also said, "In childhood, when the child had to steal something from someone, he would keep it and take it home if he did not get caught. When caught, he would say that he had hidden it to trouble him. These children are the same people. They should be punished severely so that this does not happen again, otherwise, the criminals will adopt this trick and run away."
