Indian Air Force Officer's Heartwarming Post About 'Fauji Kids' Is Hard To Miss

In a heartfelt social media post that has gone viral, Niharika Handa, an Indian Air Force (IAF) Squadron Leader has spoken about the challenges "fauji kids" face during their formative years.

Government and defense jobs require families to frequently move from one city to another due to postings. This becomes challenging for he family, particularly young children as they need to adjust to new places, new schools, peer groups and make several other adjustments. In a heartfelt social media post that has gone viral, Niharika Handa, an Indian Air Force (IAF) Squadron Leader has spoken about the challenges "fauji kids" (children of military personnel) face during their formative years.

Lauding the courage of those born to parents working in the defence forces Niharika took took to LinkedIn to write, "Fauji kids are truly impressive...They move houses, they change schools, and they adapt to constantly-changing neighborhoods. Frequent moves are a way of life for the fauji child. It is never easy to say goodbye to friends and familiar routines, to begin again in a new school, a new neighborhood - and sometimes a new country!" 

She expressed admiration and respect for such kids and said by doing so they too serve the nation.

"The fact is fauji kids say goodbye more often in their first few years than the average person does in a lifetime. A big shoutout to all the fauji kids because through their courage and support, they serve this Nation too - and I am proud of you all ! Love and respect to my little darling and thanks for being not so fussy baby and supporting me and your dad always," Niharika further wrote.

Niharika also shared a picture of her baby and thanked the little one for bearing it all and not being "so fussy".

"Love and respect to my little darling and thanks for being not so fussy baby and supporting me and your dad always," the Squadron leader added.
