Former Bigg Boss Contestant Drone Prathap Arrested For Viral 'Sodium Explosion' Experiment

Drone Prathap is the Bigg Boss Kannada Season 10 runner-up and the controversy started after Prathap took to detonating sodium in a water body.

Former Kannada Bigg Boss contestant Drone Prathap was arrested after he entered into a legal controversy by detonating sodium explosion in the water supply of a farm in Karnataka. The incident took place at an agricultural farm called as Honda and the act of the internet personality has caused concerns among the public on environmental and safety measures. 

Drone Prathap was the runner-up of Bigg Boss Kannada Season 10. Recently, the controversy started after Prathap took to detonating sodium in a water body. The loud sound created by the bomb attracted the attention of the locals, as per a report on Times of India. He also took a video of the alleged experiement and uploaded it on social media. Prathap reportedly made the video as part of a "science experiment" and he created the explosion by adding chemicals including sodium metal to the water. 

Soon, he was swamped with messages from the locals and the social media users. They shared their concerns on the risk of sodium to the wildlife and some of them even flagged that sodium could be fatal to the animals and birds that consume the water. Following this, they demanded a legal action against Prathap.

Based on the public outcry, Midigesh police took action and arrested Prathap, reported One India. He was booked under several charges of Explosives Control Act. 

Prathap N M, from a humble background in Mandya, rose to fame across Karnataka after claiming to have built 600 drones using components salvaged from old mixer-grinders and televisions.
