YSRTP Chief Sharmila Meets Governor, Briefs About Attacks On Her March In Telangana
Governor gave a positive response and said she will do her best, Sharmila said.
Chennai: YSR Telangana Party chief YS Sharmila met Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan and submitted a memorandum on the reported life threat to her party workers during padayatra on Thursday. She also highlighted the recent attack and brought to the Governor’s notice the attacks carried out by Telangana Rashtra Samithi workers during her foot march.
After meeting Governor, YS Sharmila Reddy said, "I met Governor to brief her regarding my padayatra and how K Chandrasekar Rao's party created havoc and tried to stop padayatra. KCR government destroyed our vehicles, beat up people and then they arrested me saying there was a law and order problem."
"There is no democracy. I am not allowed to hold padayatra even after receiving new permission from the court. TRS leaders threatened me knowing that I would go on padayatra again tomorrow (Friday). Governor has given a positive response and said she will do her best," she said.

Sharmila Reddy said: "I challenge Telangana police dept and TRS to provide at least one proof against the allegations they have put against me. KCR's daughter is involved in the Delhi liquor scam, I request an inquiry against KCR's family."
Sharmila also thanked Soundararajan for her concern over the way the former was treated in Hyderabad. She also accused TRS government of crushing the voices of dissent.

On Monday, police arrested YSRTP president Sharmila since she continued the march even after the police told her that it was not possible for them to provide security as TRS had party workers at every place.
The police arrested her after a lathi charge. As a result, tension prevailed at Lingagiri village under Chennaraopeta mandal in Warangal (rural) district.
