Telangana Reeling Under Heavy Floods But No Help From Centre Since 2018: Minister KTR

According to a statement showing state-wise details of release of relief funds during, 2018-19 to 2022-23, Chhattisgarh, Goa, J&K, Punjab, Telangana & Uttarakhand have not received any financial aid

Hyderabad: TRS working president and minister KT Rama Rao claimed in a tweet on Tuesday that despite Telangana being hit by numerous floods, the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led NDA Government had not approved even one rupee under the National Disaster Relief Fund since 2018.

"Hon'ble PM of India Is this what "Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas" & Co-operative federalism means? Telangana has been reeling under heavy floods but not a single rupee granted under NDRF since 2018! Neither did you offer relief to 2020 Hyderabad floods nor to 2022 Godavari floods. Why?," KTR questioned in a tweet.

According to a statement showing state-wise details of the release of funds under NDRF during the years 2018-19 to 2022-23, Chhattisgarh, Goa, Jammu and Kashmir, Mizoram, Punjab, Telangana and Uttarakhand states have not received any financial aid in the last five years.

BJP is yet to respond to the NDRF figures released by TRS. According to Desam reports, Bandi Sanjay has approached the central government in Delhi for assistance from the Centre to the Godavari flood victims. "Home Minister Amit Shah decided to send a special team to the state," Sanjay said.
