Telangana: Nalgonda Man Shot Dead In US' Maryland

Nakka Sai Charan, a resident of the Nalgonda district was killed when a person said to be a black man opened fire at him.

Hyderabad: A software engineer from Telangana was shot dead by an unidentified person in Maryland state of the US on Sunday. Nakka Sai Charan, 26, a resident of the Nalgonda district was killed when an assailant opened fire at him.

His family was made aware of the incident by his friends in the US. Sai Charan was fatally murdered while driving in the Catonsville town of Maryland after dropping a friend at the airport and returning home.

The techie received a headshot. He was transferred to the University of Maryland's R. Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center and later declared dead. The software engineer was working with a company in Baltimore, Maryland, for the past two years.

According to The Baltimore Sun, an American newspaper, the incident occurred on Sunday morning near Ednor Gardens in Baltimore, Maryland. A 40-year-old man and Nakka Sai Charan were killed in the firing. A young woman was also seriously injured in the incident.

Baltimore police rushed to the spot around 4 AM Sunday after knowing about the attack on Indian. Trevor White, a 40-year-old man, with serious gunshot wounds, was rushed to the hospital. But he was also declared dead later. 

Sai Charan parents and other family members were shocked after knowing about the tragedy. They have pleaded with the Telangana and Indian governments to assist in returning the body.
