Telangana Congress Alleges Kavitha's Arrest As 'Game For Political Advantage' Between BRS-BJP
Telangana Minister Ponnam Prabhakar alleged that both the political parties, BRS and BJP, were playing games to take political advantage of the issue.
Telangana Minister Ponnam Prabhakar commented on the arrest of BRS MLC K Kavitha and alleged that discussions regarding the arrest had been ongoing for two years. He alleged that both the political parties, BRS and BJP, were playing games regarding the matter to take political advantage of the issue.
On the arrest of BRS MLC K Kavitha, Telangana Minister Ponnam Prabhakar said, "The discussion has been going on for two years. Both the political parties are playing games to take political advantage of the issue... Bandi Sanjay mentioned thousands of times that they would arrest K Kavitha."
"When the BRS started asking him after two years why they weren't arresting K Kavitha, that is when the BJP decided to arrest her to save their face... Both BJP and BRS are two peas in a pod, but they cannot fight the Congress," he said.

Meanwhile, Kavitha was apprehended by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on the evening of March 15 in connection with a money laundering case linked to the excise policy. Subsequently, while in judicial custody, she was arrested by the CBI after an interrogation at Tihar jail.
On Friday, Delhi's Rouse Avenue Court sent BRS leader K Kavitha to CBI remand till April 15 in Delhi excise policy case.
Earlier, the CBI filed a plea in court requesting five days of custodial remand for BRS leader K Kavitha.
Meanwhile, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal was also arrested under Delhi liquor police case.
