Telangana: Amit Shah Slams KCR, Says TRS Leader Trying To Turn State Into Mamata's Bengal
Raising a high tone for an early election, Shah dared CM KCR to announce an early election tomorrow and BJP would defeat it.
New Delhi: Slamming Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao on Saturday, Union Home Minister Amit Shah said the TRS leader is trying to turn the southern state into another West Bengal. Addressing a public meeting at Tukkuguda near Hyderabad, Shah said that the BJP workers are being killed in broad daylight in the southern state. He was referring to the suicide of BJP worker Sai Ganesh in Khammam.
“Telangana CM KCR wants to turn this state into Bengal, it has to be stopped now. We will ensure that the killers of BJP worker Sai Ganesh are given the harshest punishment,” news agency ANI quoted Shah as saying.

Raising a high tone for an early election, Shah dared CM KCR to announce an early election tomorrow and BJP would defeat it.
Hitting at the Telangana government, Shah said he has never seen such an inept and corrupt government in his entire political career.
Alleging that KCR has put Telangana into a ‘debt trap’, Shah appealed to the people to bring BJP to power here for a 'double-decker' government and ensure speedy development of the state.
“He says he needs more loans. Loans for whom, for the welfare of your son and daughter,” news agency IANS quoted the Union Minister as saying.
If voted to power, Shah assured the people of doing away with the reservation for minorities. He said that the quota for minorities has affected reservation for the scheduled castes, scheduled tribes and other backward classes in Telangana.
He further said that BJP would fulfil the promise of water, funds and jobs that KCR failed to deliver.
Shah alleged that KCR has been trying to divert the attention of the people by saying that the Centre is not procuring rice from the state. Saying that procuring rice is the responsibility of state government, Shah said that if the TRS government cannot procure rice, it should resign.
He also added that the Narendra Modi-led Central government has given Rs 2.52 lakh crore for Telangana's development over the eight years and said that CM KCR renamed many central schemes to show them as the state’s schemes.
Alleging that KCR opposed the repeal of Article 370 in Kashmir out of fear of Asaduddin Owaisi-led Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen, Shah said, “Car is the election symbol of TRS. Its steering should be in the hands of the owner or driver but the steering is in the hands of Owaisi.”
Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s meeting marks the culmination of the month-long 'Praja Sangrama Yatra' Phase-2 organised by party Telangana unit president Bandi Sanjay.
Saying that Bandi Sanjay's yatra was not to remove any party from power or make somebody a chief minister, Shah said that it was aimed at changing the Nizam of Hyderabad.
"Do we need change in the Nizam (system) or not," he asked the audience, as reported by IANS.
Slamming the state government, Shah further said that KCR had promised that TRS would officially celebrate Telangana Liberation Day after coming to power, but hasn’t marked the day as it was afraid of MIM.
"The youth of Telangana should throw out both TRS and MIM. After coming to power, we will celebrate the day. It was on this day that people of Telangana and parts of Karnataka and Maharashtra got liberation from oppression of Nizam and razakars. It's historic for the entire country," Shah added.
