Ram Mandir Inauguration: Two Incidents Of Communal Tension Reported In Telangana

AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi has urged senior police officials to take measures to restore normalcy in Hathnoora village of Sangareddy and Kosgi village of Kodangal, according to a press release.

Communal tensions flared up in Telangana's Sangareddy and Narayanpet districts due to two incidents on the day of Pran Pratishtha in the Ayodhya temple. While two persons were arrested for throwing a shoe at a procession held at a village in Sangareddy district of Hyderabad, miscreants set a fruit vendor's shop on fire in Narayanpet.

In Sangareddy, two persons including a juvenile, were arrested in the shoe-throwing incident. A case has been registered under Section 153A Indian Penal Code. While the man who was arrested was remanded to judicial custody for 14 days, the minor was granted bail, the police told PTI.

After the incident, the organisers of the procession conducted protests for more than two hours demanding action against the accused. Later, the police made the protestors disperse from the spot and the procession concluded without any disturbance.

In a connected event, the police registered a case after a fruit shop in Hathnoora village was set on fire. Efforts were underway to apprehend those accountable, they said. However, no one sustained injuries in the incident.

A peace committee meeting, involving all the village elders, took place on Monday night.

Meanwhile, AIMIM stated that its MLA Kausar Mohiuddin met with the SP of Sangareddy district, urging stringent action against those responsible for the fruit shop's burning.

AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi has urged senior police officials to take measures to restore normalcy in Hathnoora village of Sangareddy and Kosgi village of Kodangal, according to a press release.

Owaisi assured that his party would provide financial assistance to the affected vendor.

Meanwhile, BJP spokesperson N V Subhash, demanding action against those who threw footwear during the Ayodhya temple consecration procession, alleged that some "Muslim miscreants" are exploiting the Congress's rise to power. He called on the police to take strong action against those who attacked the 'Ram Shobha Yatra' on the auspicious day of the Lord Ram temple's Pran Prathistha.

Subhash also claimed that the recent meeting between Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy and AIMIM MLA Akbaruddin Owaisi "outside India" (during Reddy's visit to the UK) suggests that the Congress is aligning with AIMIM, similar to the alleged understanding with BRS in the past.
