Hyderabad Police Arrests Kidnapping Gang Inspired By Web Series In Netflix
Police have identified the person leading the crime as Gunjapogu Suresh.
Hyderabad: The web series on Netflix may not have been inspired by real-life events, but it has inspired criminals in Hyderabad. Taking a cue from the hit Netflix web series, four members were allegedly Kidnapped.
Hyderabad Police Commissioner CV Anand said that the gang was trying to lure girls and kidnap teenage students. It was revealed that they had arrested four members of the gang. Police have identified the person leading the crime as Gunjapogu Suresh.
Ten days ago, a young man named Prashant was kidnapped in the Gudimalkapur area of the city. His sister complained that he was missing. While the case was being investigated, the real conspiracy of the criminals came out.
Suresh, a 27-year-old resident of Attapur near Mehdipatnam, has been charged with robbery in the past. Arrested for those crimes, he even went to jail in most cases. After he came out of jail, he planned kidnappings, as shown in a Money Heist web series on Netflix.

In January last year, he hired Rohit, Induri Jagadeesh and Kunal, unemployed residents of Bhojagutta in Mehdipatnam, for his crimes. Cleverly collected phone numbers of college students and teenagers.
He also gave a job to a young woman and started netting students and teenagers. He also bought a second-hand car for this purpose. When the intended victim arrived, the gang would abduct him and transport him to an undisclosed location.
Suresh used the victim's phone to make a ransom demand via WhatsApp- call to the victim's family members. "He kept his phone on flight mode and used the Wi-Fi hotspot of other gang members to prevent police tracking," Anand said.
