Congress Wave Coming Like Tsunami In Telangana: Rahul Gandhi

Rahul Gandhi described the caste census as the country's most pressing issue and an "X-ray" that would shed light on the status of Dalits, tribals, and OBCs.

Congress MP Rahul Gandhi asserted that a "Congress wave is approaching Telangana like a tsunami," expressing confidence in the party's ability to secure governance in the state post the Assembly polls on November 30. During his address at rallies in Telangana on Thursday, Rahul Gandhi directed a query to PM Narendra Modi, inquiring about the non-disclosure of the caste census results. This occurred as part of the 'Vijaya Bheri yatra', during which the Congress MP delivered speeches at various gatherings in the Bhupalpally, Peddapalli, and Karimnagar districts of Telangana.

According to PTI, the MP said that the Congress wave was coming like tsunami in Telangana after the November 30 Assembly polls. He said, "A Congress wave is coming in Telangana like tsunami. First it will come in Telangana and next in Delhi."

Attacking CM K Chandrasekhar Rao-led government over alleged corruption in irrigation projects, Rahul Gandhi alleged that BRS and BJP have a tacit understanding. However, BRS working president KT Rama Rao earlier denied the charge.

During the address in Telangana, Rahul Gandhi said, BJP should be defeated in Delhi similarly BRS should be defeated in Telangana. So, he urged the people to extend full support to Congress.

Gandhi described the caste census as the country's most pressing issue and an "X-ray" that would shed light on the status of Dalits, tribals, and OBCs. He went on to say that the caste census would also influence how the country's assets were dispersed.

He accused PM Modi and KCR of remaining silent over the issue of caste census. Further, Rahul assured that it will conduct caste census once Congress comes to power in Telangana. After winning elections in Delhi (at the Centre), he said, caste census will also be undertaken in Delhi (in the country).

The former Congress chief also recalled that they had pressed Prime Minister Narendra Modi to reveal the caste census data from the UPA regime's 2011 census.

Meanwhile, Rahul Gandhi tried his hand at making a dosa at a roadside eatery in Telangana’s Jagtial district on Friday.
