WhatsApp Chat Privacy Can Be Compromised If Using Third-Party Apps For Enhanced Features

Even with all the latest updates, the WhatsApp Messenger App does not have features such as auto-replies and scheduling chats found on other apps.

New Delhi: These days in India there is hardly any smartphone user who is not using the Instant Messaging App powered by Facebook - WhatsApp. It is one of the most popular apps in the world. Just imagine if this app blocks you? We get perturbed even by this thought.

Many features have been introduced in the Whatsapp messenger app in the recent past. Even after adding all these features, the WhatsApp Messenger app does not have features that are found in other apps. This includes options such as auto-replies and scheduling chats.

According to a report, some developers have added these features to create unofficial versions of WhatsApp chats. People have liked this version and are transferring their WhatsApp chats there.

WhatsApp said in a statement that such third-party apps compromise the user's security. It can hack user information via malicious software. At the same time, these apps cannot be downloaded from a relatively secure platform like Google Play Store.

These are side-loaded from other websites and can infect the user gadget as well. WhatsApp reported that it is end-to-end encrypted, and this makes it safe and helps maintain user privacy.
