Twitter To Now Let Everybody Listen To Spaces Audio Via Direct Links

Twitter is now rolling out a feature that will let even non-Twitter users to listen to Spaces audio on the web.

In a bid to expand the audience base of Spaces, Twitter is now rolling out a feature that will let even non-Twitter users to listen to Spaces audio on the web. Listeners and hosts can send any user a direct link to a Spaces audio broadcast and those who do not have an account on Twitter can also listen to it on the web client without logging in. However, they will not be able to participate in the audio broadcast.

Of late, the micro-blogging platform has been introducing more features to make its Spaces easier to share and discover. The addition of this functionality will apprently lend Twitter Spaces an edge over its competitors such as Clubhouse and Live Audio Rooms by Facebook.

Also, in another useful addition, Twitter has also introduced the ability to record Spaces audio to a limited number of iOS hosts. Hosts will also be able to link to it and share it for a month and listeners on the platform can watch it right on their timeline.

The company has also recently unveiled a Spaces test that brings the dedicated Spaces Tab for Android users along with an update that brings easier DM invites. The micro blogging platform will also feature popular Spaces in the Explore tab on iOS devices to increase their visibility.

Meanwhile, late last month, Twitter had started to allow all iOS users to Super Follow select creators. Initially released in September and only available in the US and Canada, the feature allows users to monetise their Twitter account and create exclusive content through monthly subscriptions. The Super Follows was first announced by Twitter in February and it rolled the feature out for select creators in September, according to a report in The Verge. Within the first two weeks, subscribers had contributed around $6,000, according to SensorTower.
