Leading Chinese smartphone manufacturer Vivo on Thursday launched its flagship X100 series in India. Comprising two models, the Vivo X100 and the pricier Vivo X100 Pro, the series is equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 9300 chipset. These devices mark the debut of this chipset in the Indian market. While the X100 Pro has been unveiled in a single colour, the X100 has been lanched in two colourways.

The price of the Vivo X100 Pro has been set at Rs 89,999 for the lone 16GB RAM and 512GB on-board storage configuration. The Vivo X100 comes in two storage models: 12GB RAM + 256GB storage and 16GB RAM + 512GB storage for Rs 63,999 and Rs 69,999, respectively. Pre-booking is now open for both the models launched in the Vivo X100 series, with availability commencing on January 11. The handset maker has also launched introductory offers, featuring discounts of up to 10 per cent on specific bank cards for both the X100 and X100 Pro. Furthermore, buyers can benefit from an exchange bonus of up to Rs 8,000 on eligible trade-in deals.

Both devices can be purchased through e-commerce site Flipkart, the Vivo India online store and retail outlets across the country. Customers using SBI and HDFC bank cards for pre-booking can get a cashback of up to 10 per cent and an upgrade bonus of up to Rs 8,000.
The Vivo X100 Pro, equipped with dual SIM (Nano), operates on the FunTouch OS 14 based on Android 14. It boasts a 6.78-inch AMOLED 8T LTPO curved display, with a resolution of 1,260 x 2,800 pixels and 3000 nits of peak brightness, 2160Hz high-frequency dimming, and a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. The flagship Vivo X100 Pro is equipped with a 5,400mAh battery, supporting 100W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging. In terms of dimensions, it measures 164.05x75.28x8.91 mm and weighs 225 grams. Powering the device is an octa-core 4nm MediaTek Dimensity 9300 SoC, complemented by Vivo's new V3 imaging chip, up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM, and a G720 GPU.
The standard Vivo X100 shares identical SIM, software, and display specifications with the X100 Pro variant. It is powered by the 4nm MediaTek Dimensity 9300 SoC, offering up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM, and features the Vivo V2 chip. Vivo has incorporated a storage capacity of up to 512GB in the standard X100. The Vivo X100 also comes with a Zeiss-branded triple rear camera arrangement, featuring a 50-megapixel primary Sony IMX920 VCS bionic main camera with OIS, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 64-megapixel Zeiss super-telephoto camera with 100x clear zoom. Additionally, it includes a 32-megapixel selfie shooter.
Connectivity options, water and dust resistance rating, and sensors mirror those of the Vivo X100 Pro. The device accommodates a 5,000mAh battery with 120W fast charging support but there's no wireless charging. The phone's dimensions are 164.05x75x8.49mm, and it weighs 202 grams.
