The Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event will be live-streamed detailing the handset maker's next lineup of foldable smartphones. The highlight of the event would be the new Galaxy Z Fold 4 and the Galaxy Z Flip 4 which would bring upgrades from their predecessors from last year.
Typically, Samsung unveils its Galaxy Note lineup of devices at this time of the year, but the tech giant has now shifted its focus towards its flagship Galaxy S series and Fold series devices. The Galaxy Unpacked event starts at 6:30 pm IST and enthusiasts can stream the event live using the YouTube link embedded below after 6:30 pm IST.
Along with the next-gen foldable devices, Samsung is also likely to unveil its Galaxy Watch lineup, which may continue Samsung's collaboration with Google on the newest version of the Wear OS. The South Korean tech major is likely to unveil its next-gen TWS earbuds, Galaxy Buds 2 Pro as well.
Expected specs and prices of Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4
According to leaks and rumours, Samsung would bring a less visible and smaller crease on folding displays of both phones new Galaxy Z Flip and Z Fold and feature the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip in both the foldables.
Meanwhile, earlier in July, a European retailer had leaked listings of the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 that suggested that there would be an increase in prices as compared to the third-gen foldables from Samsung. According to the leak, first spotted by GSMArena, the Galaxy Z Fold 4 will reportedly start at a price of 1,864 euros which roughly translates into Rs 1,52,000 for the 256GB storage model is an increase of 165 euros from the previous-gen Galaxy Z Fold device. Meanwhile, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 has been listed by the European retailer for 1,080 euros which roughly translates into Rs 88,000 which is an increase of 81 euros from the Galaxy Z Flip 3.
According to a previous image published by MySmartPrice, the Galaxy Z Flip 4 may arrive in four colour variants: Black or Grey, Blue, Purple and Rose Gold. However, there won't be a major difference in the device's design as compared to the previous-gen Galaxy Z Flip 3. There will be a dual-camera setup and a 2-inch cover screen too.
