Samsung Galaxy Tab S8, Galaxy Tab S8+, Tab S8 Launched In India: Details

Samsung's latest tab series comprises the Galaxy Tab S8, Galaxy Tab S8+ and Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra and the prices of which start at Rs 58,999, Rs 74,999 and Rs 1,08,999, respectively.

New Delhi: Samsung on Monday launched the Galaxy Tab S8 series in India. Samsung's latest tab series comprises the Galaxy Tab S8, Galaxy Tab S8+ and Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra and the prices of which start at Rs 58,999, Rs 74,999 and Rs 1,08,999, respectively. The first two models come with 8GB of RAM while the Tab S8 Ultra comes with 12GB of RAM and with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset.

“Tablets have become our go-to device with their usability expanding multifold in today’s video-first world – be it for studying, working remotely, personal entertainment or connecting with loved ones. At Samsung, our endeavour is to create great consumer experiences through meaningful innovations and deliver the best to our consumers,” Sandeep Poswal, Business Head, New Computing Business, Samsung India, said in a statement.

Pre-orders for the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 series will be available between February 22-March 10 on Samsung India website and other authorised partners. Prospective buyers can get a cashback of Rs 10,000 on the purchase of Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra, Rs 8,000 on purchase of Galaxy Tab S8+, and Rs 7,000 on purchase of Galaxy Tab S8 if they buy using HDFC Bank cards. Those who pre-book the Galaxy Tab S8 line will also get a complimentary Keyboard Cover worth up to Rs 22,999.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 series colour options, availability and prices 

Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra is available in Graphite colour and Galaxy Tab S8 and S8+ in three sophisticated shades -- Graphite, Silver and Pink Gold. The Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra is available in 12GB+256GB storage and is priced at Rs 108,999 for the Wi-Fi variant and Rs 122,999 for the 5G variant. Galaxy Tab S8 and Tab S8+ are available in 8GB+128GB storage variant. Galaxy Tab S8+ is priced at Rs 74,999 for Wi-Fi variant and Rs 87,999 for the 5G variant. The Galaxy Tab S8 is priced at Rs 58,999 for Wi-Fi variant and Rs 70,999 for the 5G variant.

Galaxy Tab S8 series specifications and features

The Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra shares the same chipset as the Galaxy Tab S8+ and Tab S8. In terms of imaging, the device features a dual-camera setup on the back with a 13MP main sensor and a 6MP ultrawide sensor.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S8+ comes with a 12.4-inch WQXGA+ (2,800x1,752 pixels) Super AMOLED display with 266ppi pixel density up to 120Hz refresh rate. The tablet is powered by an octa-core SoC, along with up to 12GB of RAM. It comes with the same dual rear camera setup as the Galaxy Tab S8.

For video chats, Samsung Galaxy Tab S8+ carries a 12MP ultra-wide camera at the front. The tablet features a 14.6-inch WQXGA+ (2,960x1,848 pixels) Super AMOLED display with 240ppi of pixel density and up to 120Hz refresh rate. It includes the same 4nm octa-core SoC that is available on the other two models. It comes with a dual rear camera setup that includes a 13MP primary sensor and a 6MP ultra-wide sensor.
