Young further stated that out of the entire iPhone 16 lineup, which is expected to include four models again, the iPhone 16 and 16 Pro are projected to have the highest production volumes in June, with displays for the 16 Plus and 16 Pro Max likely ramping up later in the summer, says a report by 9to5Mac.
Meanwhile, famed Apple anaylst Ming-Chi Kuo claims that the iPhone 16 Pro Max will feature a new battery with higher energy density than the current iPhone 15 Pro Max. If Apple maintains the same battery capacity as the 2023 flagship model, this could result in improved battery life for the upcoming device. Kuo also notes that the iPhone 16 Pro Max will be encased in stainless steel, whereas Apple currently uses aluminum for its existing smartphones.

This year, Apple is expected to increase the size of two models in the iPhone 16 series. According to previous reports and recently leaked dummy images, the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max will feature 6.3-inch and 6.9-inch displays, respectively -- each 0.2 inches larger than last year's Pro and Pro Max models.
The other two models are expected to retain the same display sizes as their predecessors.
Meanwhile, while Apple's Pro devices currently offer up to 1,000 nits of brightness, the rumoured iPhone 16 Pro models could provide a 20 per cent boost in brightness for standard dynamic range (SDR) content, alongside slightly larger screens. Additionally, these smartphones are expected to debut with an upgraded processor and a new 'Capture' button.
Reports suggest that alongside the increase in brightness, the iPhone 16 Pro models will see changes in display size. Apple is reportedly planning to enlarge the display panels for both the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max models. Allegedly, the iPhone 16 Pro will sport a 6.27-inch (159.31 mm) display, while the iPhone 16 Pro Max will feature a larger 6.85-inch (174.06 mm) display.
