Google Pixel Watch 3 In The Works, May Come With A Bigger Battery
Now, certification sites suggest Google is actively developing the third-generation Pixel Watch.
Last year saw the debut of the Google Pixel Watch 2, coinciding with the release of the flaghsip Google Pixel 8 series. Marking the brand's inaugural entry into the Indian smartwatch market, it garnered much attention. Now, certification sites suggest Google is actively developing the third-generation Pixel Watch. Recent listings have unveiled purported battery specifications for the Pixel Watch 3, the media has reported.
The Pixel Watch 3, identified with the model number G1QME, has been discovered by 91mobiles on the Dekra and Safety Korea websites. This model number is strongly linked to the Pixel Watch 3. As per these listings, the Pixel Watch 3 is anticipated to feature a 307mAh battery, a marginal improvement over the 304mAh battery found in the Pixel Watch 2.
The original Pixel Watch came equipped with a 294mAh battery.
An earlier rumor this year suggested that the Pixel Watch would be available in two different sizes. Previously, Google had only released Pixel Watches in a single size, with the Pixel Watch 2 being launched in a single 41mm size. Offering two size options for the Pixel Watch 3 addresses a reported concern among users, providing them with more choice.
Information about the Pixel Watch 3 remains limited at this time. Anticipated to launch later this autumn alongside the Pixel 9 series, it is expected to bring enhancements compared to the Pixel Watch 2.
To recall, the Pixel Watch 2 boasts a 1.2-inch AMOLED display and is driven by the Qualcomm Snapdragon W5 Plus Gen 1 chipset. Operating on WearOS 4, it is equipped with a 304mAh battery, purportedly providing 24 hours of battery life even with the always-on display feature enabled.
Additionally, last year's Pixel Watch 2 incorporates Fitbit's multi-path heart rate sensor, ensuring precise heart rate monitoring. It integrates Fitbit's stress management system, which utilizes body response tracking to assess stress levels and offer personalized recommendations. Moreover, the smartwatch includes a body-response sensor, fall detection capabilities, and a skin temperature sensor.
