Apple's official website was down and not loading fully for several users ahead of September 16, when the newly-launched iPhone 14 series goes on sale.
Apple's official website was down and not loading fully for several users ahead of September 16, when the newly-launched iPhone 14 series goes on sale. Many images also failed to load on Apple's official website while many other users reported seeing ‘403 forbidden errors’ on the page.
Apple's website was down for users not only in India but in other countries too. The issues seemed to be affecting users who were trying to pre-order the newly launched Apple iPhone 14 series. The iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus, iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max would go on sale tomorrow, which is September 16.
Micro-blogging site Twitter was abuzz with users complaining of Apple's official not working ahead of the sale date of September 16. The Cupertino-based tech giant has not responded to the outage and it is not clear what caused the Apple website outage.
Meanwhile, there has been a significant price hike for battery replacement of the new iPhone 14 series, which is also bigger than last year's iPhone 13 lineup, as recently revealed. Now, some reports suggest that the replacement cost of the newly launched iPhone 14 lineup would be much higher than the iPhone 13 series.
According to the Cupertino-based tech giant, the cost to replace the batteries of the new iPhone 14 series, including iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus, iPhone 14 Pro, and iPhone 14 Pro Max is $99 which is up from the cost of replacing batteries for iPhone 13 at $69. This means there has been a price increase of about 43 per cent for the replacement of iPhone 14 series batteries, as per a report by 9to5Mac.
In the fastest ever local production of new iPhone models, the newly-launched iPhone 14 is going to be assembled in India in the next quarter. The locally made iPhone 14 units are likely to become available in India by December, says a recent report by The Economic Times. This comes amid reports of Tata Group being in talks with Taiwanese manufacturer Wistron to start assembling iPhones in the country.
