The national capital keeps witnessing the violation of traffic rules on a daily basis, and unfortunately, it has become a normal thing in Delhi. Now, the Delhi Police is all set to take strict action against those who violate traffic rules. The authorities have formulated a plan of action to combat this efficiently. What Upgrades Will The Traffic Prahari App Bring?

The scheme seeks to incentivise tipping off the police about infractions. People can win up to Rs 50,000 by sending correct information about rule violations to the traffic police. The Traffic Prahari app allows residents of Delhi to report traffic rule violations directly to the Delhi Police. To encourage participation, the Delhi Police has introduced a scheme that rewards up to Rs 50,000 for accurate information. Each month, the top four informants will be selected to receive these monetary prizes.

Delhi Police will publish a monthly list of the four leading contributors, who will be awarded prizes of Rs 50,000, Rs 25,000, Rs 15,000, and Rs 10,000.

In the Traffic Sentinel app, if you would report traffic violation cases, then you would earn reward points, which you would later exchange for prizes like cap, t-shirts, free talktime, movie coupons, and dinner coupons. Bonus prizes also used to be gifted to some lucky winners in which you stood a chance to win a Maruti car, a Honda Motor Cycle, or 3 foreign tours/free air tickets.

If you are also inclined to help the authorities and make Delhi a safer place while also standing a chance to win some cash rewards, we are here to help you out.
