Slack Integrates ChatGPT To Provide Research Tools, Writing Assistance

Slack, the enterprise chat application owned by Salesforce, has recently announced the launch of an AI-powered app called "ChatGPT app for Slack". The app is designed to provide instant conversation summaries, research tools, and writing assistance to help companies work more productively. By combining Slack's knowledge with the intelligence of ChatGPT, the new app empowers users with the information they need to move work forward faster.
According to Noah Desai Weiss, Chief Product Officer at Slack, "The ChatGPT app for Slack deeply integrates the power of OpenAI's cutting-edge large language models into Slack's conversational interface. There couldn't be a more natural fit. This will give customers new superpowers by helping them tap the collective knowledge of their organization's channel archives."
Currently, the ChatGPT app for Slack is in beta, and it provides a conversational interface powered by OpenAI's large language models. This allows users to get instant conversation summaries, research any topic, and receive writing assistance to quickly draft messages. With the ChatGPT app for Slack, users can get up to speed faster on channels or threads, instantly find answers on any project or topic, and draft messages in seconds to communicate with customers and teams.

Meanwhile, Slack has announced that it will store the data of Indian customers data within the country, in an attempt to make it easier for the company to comply with corporate or regulatory standards and meet the law of the land.
India is among the top 10 markets for Slack and it is the third biggest free user base for the company globally.
